Hi, this may sound strange, but I've never bothered to pricematch anything before. What do I need to bring in to Best Buy to verify the price at OfficeMax? Copy of page off the internet or something else? BTW, right now OfficeMax website has the MX700 listed for $59.99.

Do not bring an internet prinout. You need to bring the circluar in, or else they'll deny it, saying they don't PM internet prices.

 
Thanks, good to know. Follow up question: will a printout of the circular work, or if not, where's the easiest place to get the "real thing"? I don't receive a Sunday paper...

not true, i have the corded version of this mouse (mx500) and it's absolutely incredible for gaming. best mouse out there imo. i tried out my friend's mx700 just the other day and i couldn't even tell that it was wireless.

sweet, looks like I'll finally get one of these mice...but you know, I really don't like the way the scroll mouse works in Logitechs...can you change it so it worked (when pressed) like an MS mouse?
 
Whatever, don't listen to the "not for gamer" clowns. Simply the best mouse on the market. Period.

Best results on this deal would be to do a straight purchase of it at a regular checkout counter w/ any coupons. Then take the receipt with the circular to the customer service counter and PM. Generally they take the coupon amount and deduct it from any PMs, so YMMV on that.

Yes. You just have to set it up in the options to serve as a third button. Actually, I find the scroll wheel one of the greatest strengths of the Logitech design - I have tended to wear out the scroll wheels on MS mouses very quickly, and once the detents are worn, the scroll wheel works poorly or not at all for selecting weapons in FPSs.
 
I have to agree with the "not for gaming" assessment. I still have my Logitech Dual Optical connected to my PC just for gaming. Now that's side by side comparison! I can tell the difference. It may be the "best" wireless mouse for gaming, but by far not the "best" overall mouse for gaming. I had just bought a new Dual Optical to replace this one, but I sold it to a friend and bought the MX-700 instead. Don't get me wrong - it is a great mouse, but I wish I had kept that new Dual. This mouse may be better than any MS mouse for games, but against its older brother, it's not close. Just one man's opinion...

yup, he's working on old knowledge. the logitech is the first decent cordless mouse. one with 125hz refresh🙂 so same as corded. slightly heavier cuz of batteries.

i have some old cordless, oh man they suck for gaming and basically everything else. 50hz just don't cut it.
 
Just came from BB B&M, and was asking if they had more in stock, not until Sunday morning.. However the salesgirl showed me on the register that there is a new $20 rebate starting tomorrow 2/9 on the MX700 again. It will be $59.99 after rebate again for the next week.. 🙂 Now if they don't do an emergency pricedrop and kill the rebate in a counterstrike to ward off PM's for those purchasing from 2/9 on....

oh yea, she printed out the rebate form for this COMING week and I have it in front of me..

The rebate isn't on the website as of this morning & I hate to call and ask about it, but i'd hate to drive the one hour to get there, too! *sigh*

I know it's probably not the proof you need, but she did print it out and give it to me, it does say 2/9-2/15 for the MX700. Because I asked her to see if there were more in the back, and she said no, it has sold out twice this week, but the good news is that the rebate has been extended on it, and we are getting more on tonights truck.

I'd hate to have you drive a distance to your nearest store and have it not pan out, but the rebate form she printed out for tomorrow does say 2/9-2/15.

I need to go back today and get my $10 price drop on Unreal2..
