Logitech MX700 Cordless Mouse - $65.95 Shipped from Buy.com

Figures. I just bought one of these on Saturday. This is a REALLY nice mouse. I am amazed at it because it drives like a corded mouse. There isn't any lag in movements and it seems to be able to keep up with my gaming pace. About the only complaint I have is the software for the mouse. I wish Logitech would get with the program and fix the scrolling method they use to be consistent with Microsoft. Whenever I hate having to use that MS compatibility mode.

Some people complained about the weight and yes it is heavier that most mice. However, if you use a good surface, you won't notice a difference. My suggestion is to get an Everglide mouse pad. I feel no difference in "slideablility"(is that a word) from my corded mouse, when used on an Everglide mouse pad.

If you want a cordless mouse, this is the one, hands down.

I'm thinking of picking this up too... I've been waiting for a good deal, but I still wish it would be ~$10 cheaper.

Well what the heck, I ordered one. I've been looking for a good wireless mouse for a year. I love the Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer -- except that it just doesn't work. (Best ergonomics ever, though.) I also tried Logitech's two other wireless mice, and, like the Microsoft mouse, they had the same "lag" problem.

Will report when I get mine.

Does anybody know if this works with an exisiting wireless setup. i have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse the freedom pro setup. i just want to replace the mouse with this. will it work?

Actually, yeah, it should work... Just plug in this mouse and unplug the mouse part of the reciever that came with your other logitech mouse.

YOU ARE CORRECT!! *ding ding ding ding* 🙂 Just make sure you have the latest iTouch and Mouseware software and you are good to go!

are you sure? i dont meanto doubt your word but dont the old receivers receive a different radio frequency than the new line up which is on something like the 2.4 ghz fequency? have you tried this?

any difference between this one and the mx500 other than one is cordless and the other one is not? i'm thinking about picking up the mx500. the cord doesn't really bother me that much? are there any other significant advantages the mx700 has over the mx500?

That doesn't matter, though, because: he will use the new MX700 and the wireless keyboard at the same time... the mouse reciever will plug into the mouse port, and the keyboard reciever will plug into the keyboard port... they will work independantly of each other, each with its own reciever. So it doesn't matter the frequency.

happybob: no, no differences. If you don't mind the cord, than the MX500 is the way to go.

I thought he was asking about using his existing wireless receiver with this mouse.

Of course he can use the new wireless receiver for the mouse and his old wireless receiver for his keyboard.

Ohh waaah waaah 🙂

I have both, and performance is exactly the same. The Ratpadz was $8 cheaper.

just went to the website, the mouse don't qualify for free shipping, so it's not $65.95 shipped. Standard shipping for this item alone is $8.02. So it's more like 73.97 shipped. Still a good deal tho. I just can't decide which one to get, MX700 or the MX500.

Hmm... just found a $10 off $100 coupon, anyone got any FAR items so I can use this coupon???

Ryocho: You're correct; they've changed the deal. It was free shipping all through yesterday (when I ordered mine.)

You can still get this for the same price at Amazon, though it's not in stock yet. $69.95, with a $5 off coupon. Search another deals site for the info. Shipped free.
