Logitech MX700 - can I add a Logitech keyboard?

Hi all,

I have a Logitech MX700 mouse with it's cordless base station/charger. My question is, can I get one of the Logitech black (Elite? I think) keyboards that's wireless and add that to the MX700's base station?

Basically, I don't want two receivers on my desk, and it'd be nice to have two devices that can both run off the same receiver.

Possible?

They sell the keyboard and mouse together in the same package and if that's the way the package works, then you should be able to run that way too. The receiver used is probably the same for both.
 
I was thinking the same thing. The base is a little different because it seems to work the KB also. 🙁

If I want the MX Duo, I gotta sell the MX mouse which is a pain in the arse.
 
I don't think it will work. The reciever that comes with the mx700 mouse is not the same as the one in the mx duo package.... check the link below for a chart of all the logitech recievers and what will work on them.

I'm still using the keyboard from my "elite duo" and my new MX700 mouse, but with different recievers...... if I ever find a good keyboard to replace this Logitech one, I'll never own another....... I've hated this keyboard for as long as I've had it!
 
Yes, well that's what I was thinking when clicked on your thread. I've only seen the wireless Elite keyboard as part of a combo (MX Duo, Elite, Bluetooth) but not stand-alone. There's only a wired version of the Elite which sells separately.

Anyway - the MX Duo is $75 on NewEgg last time I checked. But I reckon you don't want to shell the price for both of these when you just need the keyboard..
