I paid $90 bucks for mine when it first came out, and it was hovering there for quite some time, if you're in the market for a great wireless mouse, check it out 🙂 Blowout Sale

It lasts a week or so when you first get it, i've had my same batteries for 2 years, I game everyday, and I only need to recharge it every 4 days before I go to sleep.

for a gamer like me, I dare not risk a low bat during online real time gaming.
I put it to charge every two days

You have excellent priorities!

My insurance is to use a corded mouse.

Is the MX510 more responsive than the MX700?

Yes, but I read in a review that 510s are more responsive due to software upgrade i.e driver vs MX500

As far as reponsiveness of MX700, it is pretty impressive

for those of you who have this mouse... even though u say it lasts about a week or two before u have to recharge.. how often do u recharge? do u put it in the cradle every night when u sleep? or do u only charge after 1 week? is there anyway to tell how much battery is left on the mouse? or if its low will it alert you?

thanks

I charge it about once a week. If I game hard, I can kill a charge in a couple days. The mouse blinks red when the batts are low. For a backup, have a pair of alkalines sitting by. Only takes a few seconds to swap out the batteries.

can anyone tell me if this mouse is heavy or not? how would it compare with the other wireless mouse and corded mouse for the weight?

I've used a few cordless mice, and this one seems slightly lighter. However, as long as wireless mice contains AA batteries, it will never be as light as a wired one. When I first used this, it felt heavy compared to my old two button logitech wired mouse, but you get used to it pretty quick. I paid 60 for this month and a half ago, oh well, I love this thing.

Btw: MX700 + Mousepad + FPS = PWNED

MX700 is good if you need wireless. I charge about every 2-3 days. But if you don't need wireless I would go w/ MX510. It's much lighter and feels more responsive IMO.

I have the MX500, the corded version, and it's been great. The extra buttons on the side, come in handy for some games, and web browsing. This is a good deal. But personally I'm sticking to corded mice. There is no need for a cordless mouse/keyboard, if your computer is always near. You also need space for the bulky mouse recharger and Infrared station.

The mx500 and 700 are the same mouse design, I love the side buttons, I configured the side one to activate my mic in unreal.
