I have the mx518 and nothing I have ever tried compares to it. The rosewill looks decent, but your saving $10 on something you will be using everyday for a long time, I would go with logitech because the mx518 is known to be the best and Logitech is a very good company. If you want a cheap mouse though for a second computer, the Rosewill looks like its pretty decent.
Good finds

more like saving $15 thanks to free paypal shipping promo 😉
I ordered two rosewills with free shipping promo- thanks Diogenes2 🙂

For less then $30 you might want to check out the A4Tech X-750BF. I just got mine about a week ago and I am LOVING it! The ability to change sensitivity on the fly (a small button on the top of the mouse) is very nice when I fly or snipe. The 3X Fire button is pretty neat when using Pistols.

BTW: I switched over from a Logitech MX 510.

I owned logitech m500 before the m510 and now own three m518 and one m510. The m500 series of mice are the best gaming/all around mice I have ever owned. Make that I now own four m518 mice I just ordered another one!

I called logitech when my m510 wasnt working properly last year and they sent me a new m518 and I didnt even have to send the m510 back.

Great deal on a mouse.

I will stick with my Razers and Microsoft Habu...
nothing compares.

Logitech mice have always felt too heavy in my hand.

I been a long time Logitech user myself and currently have the G5 Laser. Logitech make great products, so for $30 I would highly recommend it.

But for gaming, nothing compares to the Razer Diamondback series for me. The size and weight just seems like it's specifically made for my hand.

Anybody know how the Microsoft 5000 platinum is? Its cordless and the price is 21.64 at buy.com +$5 mail-in rebate.

I have the Habu now but have used the mx510, G5, and G7 prior to it. It is all shape/weight preference. Nothing against the Logitech's, but the shape isn't as good for me. Check them out in a retail store.

I got the G5 for $35 a couple of weeks ago. Comparable to the MX518, but less buttons. The on-the-fly sensitivity is very useful IMO, since I play a lot of BF2 it's nice. And the weights are pretty cool. The G5 is pretty light without anything in there, so I like having a little bit of weight on it.

Either one is great and at ~$30 hard to beat. The middle button is a bit hard to press on the G5 though! And I can't get the tilt wheel functions to work in BF2. Those are my only complaints with it.

I considered the Razor Copperhead and Diamondback, but I heard those are more of a "finger" mouse while the Logitech are "palm" ones. Depending how you like to hold the mouse. I guess hardcore gamers use finger, but I think it would be uncomfortable, so the Logitech fits me better. The precision is excellent with all of them though. And the MS Habu wasn't available on buy.com when I ordered.

I use the MX518 and it's a great mouse even if you don't plan on gaming with it. Very precise and on-the-fly resolution change without drivers is a winner.

I love my 518. On my third though, I think they have a flaw that makes their buttons stop working well. Oh well, still the best gaming mouse out there. Might get one for backup....

Logitech G5 Laser Mouse PC Gaming w/ Adjustable Weights

I switched from a mx500 to a g5 and i wish i got the mx518 instead. Laser is not as refined as optical technology imo as this mouse skips on surfaces my mx500 had no problem on (such as a func pad). ESreality did a mouse round up recently here and the mx518 did much better than the g5.

I've had this MX-518 for a year and a half. But I paid around $50. This is a good buy. Great mouse!

Change sensitivity on the fly, programmable buttons, etc.

It's corded, which I wanted because that's a bit better than cordless for gaming.

I think the deal will end today because that's when the google checkout ends, at least from what I read at one site that does GC. But the egg sells them for only a bit more than the $30 for this offer and it's without the GC. I picked up three of these, two for me and another for my GF. They are a pleasure to use.
