I think you might be thinking of the red one instead of the blue one. Looks like the blue one is still $37.89 at Amazon unless the price just went up.

Oops...looks like Replicable beat me to it while I was making my fancy post with the Amazon links. ;)

Very very nice mouse. I've noticed a nice improvement in accuracy in FPS games thanks to this mouse. Great deal too on the blue one, cheapest I've ever seen it. Thanks for sharing OP =)

doesn't this mouse have the same scanning resolution/speed as all the other Logitech MX series mice? i have a mx-310 or 300 i believe..it's simple, light, and quick :)...the buttons feel very cheap though..

Thanks!

Me gusta the Blue MX510.

Ordered one a few minutes ago at $33.99 and printed the rebate... looks like a winner!

Would this be an upgrade from what I am using now, the Logitech Dual Optical mouse ?

I agree.

I paid >$40 and have no regrets. It's that good.

I'm using a C4 mouse pad with it and it works very well. Anyone else?

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, got myself a red one a while back, now I can get blue to complete the collection, as well as not give any of my buds the shaft when they come over and have to use a quirky M$ mouse that doesn't work quite right.

It works great on my bare desktop. I put teflon tape on the feet (prevents wear), and I use a no-wax furniture polish to keep the surface slick.

Logitech should announce the MX518 soon. That's why the prices for the MX510's are dropping.
You can view images of the unit here:
http://forum.lowyat.net/lofive...index.php/t119883.html
and an article here: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=20748
Here's the entire article if you don't want to visit theinquirer.net:
LOGITECH IS ABOUT TO CHANGE gaming peripherals once again with a new mouse. One of the things it did not announce at CES was the new 518 mouse. This successor to the MX510 gaming mouse combines the best of the older one, the laser technology from the MX1000, and has a new twist.

The twist is adjustable DPI, intended for the gamer. The 518 has a hardware switch that will instantly change the sensitivity from 800 to 1200 to 1600DPI.

The MX510 doesn't disappoint. It's so comfortable and easy to use. And you don't even need a mouse pad. At this price it's a steal.

This pretty much sums up this deal! :D I use to have a MX500 and loved it! The blue on the MX510 is incredibly sexy and sleek. Only thing is I paid twice the amount for my MX500 shortly after they came out.

For those of you with skipping issues, use a mousepad that doesn't have any reflective surface or white in it. I've notice my MS IntelliMouse Explorer V4 skip a few times or get 'stuck' on the screen when it hovers over the white spots of my Dell mousepad.
