I just picked up an MX1000 and despite losing several octillion points for their software bundle, it seems like an okay mouse.

The problem is that the scroll wheel seems to do nothing. It didn't do anything before I installed SetPoint. It doesn't do anything with set point installed. It doesn't work in Mozilla, IE, or Windows explorer.

Any ideas?

Start->settings->control panel->mouse->wheel settigns?

Mine works great even without that sh!tty logitech SW. The only thing that doesnt work is the side-to-side scrolling with the wheel. :(

Yeah, that's set up correctly.

Don't tell me I have a broken mouse. I don't want to dig through the outside garbage for its packaging! :p

It doesn't work in BF2 either. BF wants to use the little up button above the wheel for scrolling. I plugged in my old mouse and its wheel works fine.

my experience with the mouse exactly.
(that and an annoying trend to point my sights at the sun periodically, which made me give it up)

I guess I'm going to brave mall traffic and take it back. Logitech hasn't replied yet, so I'm going to take my soiled box back to Office Depot.
