This is a scorching deal considering it's 60% off MSRP both online and B&M with no rebates. Just picked up 2!

I wouldn't have gotten one if this thread didn't alert me. So I don't know if I should thank or yell at the OP :D

can anyone tell me if the two scroll wheels on this mouse have 3 actions? obsiously they scroll, do they also tilt, and press down for the button function?

thanks in advance

The main scroll wheel tilts and presses down, however, since I normally have the mouse in freespin mode, this makes pressing down feel a little awkward as the wheel will move while you depress it.

The side wheel does not scroll. It moves forward, backward, and inward like a button. I've actually remapped the side wheel button press to work as a middle click, which seems to work well.

decent deal for sure, just think twice about using this mouse for gaming. i used it for CSS when my MX510 was broken. recently the MX510 came back to life (mystery) and I can't go back to the revolution. the scrolling is definitely nice though. you click down the button and it changes between regular scrolling and free spin mode. when it's in free spin mode it doesn't have the clicky resistance so if you spin it fast it'll keep spinning and you can scroll down easy.

Yeah I thought I would try it out for gaming but looks like its going back tomorrow. Not only is it clunky (big) but sometimes it loses connection and I just can't have that in FPS throwdowns. As for normal use, it rocks! I love the scrolling and easy search functions. Another con is its fricken heavy for a mouse. I think I'll get a G7 and call it a day. Gamers look elsewhere, everyone else, you can't get a better mouse.

I got a 6ft. USB extension cable and routed it to a spot near where I use my mouse. Plugged the mouse's receiver in and never have any connection problems. The extension cable is plugged directly into one of the USB ports on the back of the motherboard.

It was never meant to be gaming mouse. I have the MX for everyday use and a G7 for gaming. I highly recommend the G7. Sad, that they discontinued it. Though I will warn you that the G7 is not a good everyday mouse due to battery life. You may get irritated by the number of times you need to switch the battery packs.

I like it for everyday use but my lighter and smaller regular wireless logitech mouse works better for gaming.

Actually, the G7 was brought back, earlier this year I believe. And yes, the battery life sucks but it comes with two, so keep your spare charged and you're always good to go! The tracking speed buttons are great for graphic artists.

Personally I prefer the ergonomics of the VX/MX Revolution.

Picked up 2 from CC today for 36.29 each, last 2 on the shelf, Woot!!

I really like the feel of it, i've been using the Mx518 the last couple years and the G7 wouldn't be much of a change in ergonomics if any at all, so i can safely say i prefer this one for my netbook (asus N10j) since i don't plan on doing any serious gaming on it.

I grabbed one from BB. I'm digging the customization. I've set the left/right function of the scroll wheel to home/end keys to get to the bottom/top of threads easier :)

The thumb one on the side controls the PC volume with a nice mute button when you click it.

Search opens up google.

After using this one my old MX510 just feels cheap.

well i picked one up at CC and pmed as well, those who say it's bad at gaming it's actually quite acceptable, though it takes some tweaking to making it suitable for movement. Once i set it up to my liking this thing does a great job at gaming, those who liked the MX1000 for gaming like me, will most likely enjoy the MX revolution.

I have yet to "break into" it yet and right away i felt it was good when i tried it on COD4. Also if you count the # actions on the button for gaming you get one more compared to the MX1000.
