Logitech MX Duo problems..

So I noticed this about a day or two ago.. it's really starting to irk me. I'll be browsing the web and suddenly the page will scroll down a few lines, or even all the way to the bottom. And I noticed this in FPS games too .. ie in FarCry/Doom3 I'll suddenly switch weapons randomly as if I'm scrolling through with mwheelup/down .. anyone know anything about this? I changed my keyboard batteries, I've reconnected both components.. etc.. I'm lost.

bump .. still driving me nuts.. tried changing batteries/reinstalling software .. nothing seems to work. Now I notice my keyboard suddenly stops working for a few mins or I have to reconnect it, etc...

I have the MX700 and a corded keyboard. A good friend has the Duo. He uses his with an HTPC sitting about 5-8 feet back from the receiver. When you push out the range it has similar problems. Clicks can be read as holds and one scroll as many. How far do you sit back? Are you using Logitech drivers or just letting Windows detect it.

It's just mishapped synchronizations in the Rf....

Do this. There's a little button on the bottom of your mouse and keyboard. You might have to use a pen to hit the button on the mouse. Press down the button on the mouse, keyboard, AND the button on top of the usb reciever. Hold them all down for 5 seconds. Literally 5 seconds. Let them all go at once. The problem is always solved this way.

I was working at Circuit City one day and this guy was returning trying to return his DUO set to us after 5 months of use and complained of the basically the same thing. Said he even paid $50 and showed us the ticket, for a tech over at Allgen (local computer repair shop), to look it over and try to fix it. They told him it was defective and beyond repair for the price.

I showed him how to press down all 3 buttons (tricky with only two hands) and let them go after 5 seconds. They started working like a charm afterward and he stood there for 10 minutes looking at the keyboard and then to me and to the keyboard and then to me with a slack-jawed, dumb-founded expression on his face. Man I get a kick out of it everytime I do that to people who complain about wireless keyboards and mice. You wouldn't believe how often this happens and this sovles the problem every single time.

I'll give it a shot and let you know.

hrmm, just got back to a working computer. Sorry that didn't work. My next suggestion is to try them on another computer. If they work fine on another computer then it is a driver issue or interferance. If it's interference that is something that is hard to pinpoint. My current work place banned wireless keyboards and mice because of this. Everyone had them and people were getting way to many cross signals.
