Sweet, I was looking at getting new mouse for my secondary machine. Was going to get a 310 or a more generic mouse, but can't pass up a 500 at this price.

lol?

Yeah, anyone can use the PoS generic mice.

These bad boys get decent refresh rates, good accuracy, and are beautifully designed. MX500 all the way. (Either you aren't a gamer, or you're a dumb gamer ;p)

I use MX510 myself, my MX500 recently kicked the bucket.

too most users, not much. for gamers, there might be a slight difference. the mx510 has a higher dpi than the mx500.

i have noticed almost every single thread you post on, you say something stupid. especially when you post hot deals yourself, many of them have not been 'true' hot deals.

I dunno what the difference is, I'm gonna find out though.
My main machine uses a 510, and I ordered this 500 for the secondary machine so I can give my old mouseman optical to my fiancee's brother to replace the old serial mouseman I gave him before, which I affectionately refer to as the 'triangle mouse'. The LMB is starting to work inconsistently. That mouse lasted 10 years. I was using it to play Descent 2 and Warcraft 2 online in over a modem in DOS using kali.

Logitech mice forever.

MX500 = 4.7 megapixels/s & 10g Acceleration
MX510 = 5.8 megapixels/s & 15g Acceleration

Both are 800dpi

what?

hahaha, I bought MX500 more than a year ago and it was going for $50
it's a great mouse. i never regret about my big investment on great mouse.

it's kinda childish to say that spending $20 too much for a mouse.

Ordered mine on 3/10 at 7PM.
Credit card charged on 3/11.
Got shipping notification on 3/15 at 5PM.

So, shipping was kind of slow, but it doesn't bother me so much.

It was shipped by USPS, so the tracking number is useless. I expect it'll be here before the weekend, though. You want updates?

same thing with me. ordered mine on march 10 (thursday), didn't get a shipping notification until tuesday. It's still saying "Shipping in 24 hours" in the order status page but i have a tracking number. They're definitely very slow. I'll update when I receive it.

If you're thinking about this one to use often I'd recommend the 510 because it has better more stable tracking. I have them both.

Update: The mouse still hasn't shown up.

I received a second (different tracking number) shipping notification today, 3/22... 11 days after my credit card was charged.

Same thing with me. I got my second tracking number today. I managed to get through to their customer service no. yesterday and they told me that it shipped last friday?!:confused:

I wouldn't suggest this store to anybody especially if you are not willing to wait. I'm not even sure if my order shipped already and getting two tracking numbers seem shady...

Good thing I'm just ordering this mouse as a replacement for a perfectly working mx310. When (if) it comes in, I'll give my old one to my gf :)

Might want to skip it when it does come in....

Showed up on 3/25.

Mouse and CD in a bag, in a box. No padding at all. I notice they've added a "PRE-test before ship out" option to the advertisement for $5... their shipping method might explain why.

#1 - Two weeks shipping sucks.
#2 - Poor packaging.
#3 - It's a refurb.

The mouse feet are worn, there's dust embedded on the bottom, and there's marker through the bar code with a sticker over it that says' "WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED". The advertisement says OEM, not refurb.
