I dont know what is up with Logitech these days. They have not designed a comfortable mouse since the three-button mouseman-pro aka Gaming Mouse. Fortunately I stocked up on these a year or so back when they were clearing them out for $10 a piece. No mouse has been designed since that fits the hand quite as well...even the Explorer, which i just recently tried and tossed to the drawer. Sure the technology may be great but what use is it if it feels like a lumpy turn in your hand.

I've had an MX500 for a few weeks now and I like it for overall gaming. My mouse before this was a Razer Boomslang, but it was starting to die on me so I needed a new mouse. I've grown pretty comfortable with this mouse, but there is 1 thing I hate about it. The mousewheel is a total POS. It just feels wimpy, hard to use, and not very sensitive. There are many times when I would scroll the wheel and nothing registers. The mousewheel on my old Boomslang kicked major ass. I'm fortunate that I dont use the mousewheel all that much in games, it's passable for scrolling applications. But for gaming it's unacceptable. However, that may or may not be a big deal to you. It's an annoyance to me, but something that I can live with.
