Hi, I just installed a logitech mx 500 on a new pentium 2.8c system that is running at 3.3 Ghz, everything on the computer is working beautifully except for when xp pro boots up, the mouse just locks in the middle of the screen. The computer is not locked up but the mouse just sits there , and the only way I can get it to work Sometimes is unplugging the mouse and plugging it back in. Could I just need to download the newest version of mouseware, because this computer I just got up and running last night, worked fine last night, but today the mouse keeps locking up. Any help would be greatly appreciated

please state which port are you using for the mouse.
I havent checked out the MX500 series yet but i believe that it is either OS/2 or USB

If you currently have any mouseware drivers installed I suggest you try removing them.

I've heard they can cause such problems.

Besides this I suppose you could try using the USB->PS/2 adapter (or removing it if you're already using it).
