<FONT size=4>I bought the MX 300 at B&M in Hadley, MA tonight. It rules!

The tiny button below wheel has a default function similar to alt-tab, but a little more user friendly. It brings up all of your minimized windows and open apps and allows you to highlight and select one. REALLY USEFUL. All of the MX models have the same new optical system that is supposedly faster and able to function on more reflective surfaces than previous models. I realize people may have already heard about these. Here's a review and a comparison of the new models...

Cool deal. I was looking at the ad today and there was a misprint. The MX500 was selling for $14.99 at my local Staples. I'm gonna need to head back there and look again. :D

I too saw the misprint. Took the MX500 up to the counter and asked her if it was the right one. She said yes, rang it up and I asked why so much. She then made a $20 price adjustment without the manager and I got it an MX500 for $14.94.

It pays to play dumb.

Sir,

And I quote Robbery - "The act or an instance of unlawfully taking the property of another by the use of violence or intimidation"

I went to college. I know the rule of law. I did not claim to be the most honest person on earth. It may not be right, but I have spent big chunks of change at Staples at higher than normal prices as needed. I am not justifying anything, but meerly accepting an offer.

I bought the MX500 for $35 + something else - $10 off coupon last week, which is a bargain.

However, I haven't decided yet if I'm keeping it because my 2-month Dual Optical MouseMan is doing fine. Actually, the MX500 has sweet ergonomics (and technology) but I don't like the new, microscopic buttons that were added.

$15 on the MX300 is a fine deal as well. If it had a thumb button, I'd probably just go with a few of those. ;) Either way you go, you can't go wrong, esp. if you get your purchase up to $40 and use a $10 off coupon.

JFYI, Staples also has the navigator keyb for 15 bux as opposed to 30.

The only thing I don't like about the MX300, and the optical wheel mouse that shares the same plastic casing, is that the texture wears out pretty quickly at the thumb area.

There are signs clearly posted at many of the cash registers in California stating that the customer is entitled to the lowest price advertised (including the price tag posted in-store). So if it's a misprint, it's their fault and they're required by law in California to honor it.

I checked out the flyer today. The only thing that was misprinted was the pictures of the two mice. Basically the mx500 pic appeared next to "Logitech MX300 - $14.99" and vice versa. Had I really wanted the MX500, I'd have tried the trick....

Thanks for the deal. I went with this one rather than the compusa one because this one has no rebates albeit $5 higher.

I need a new mouse and with all the clicking I do in Ragnarok Online my MS explorer (orig) is showing its age.
