I wish I could get the Harmony One for under $160 then I would be all over it. I just can't justify spending $200 on a remote....

I think someone over at the "deal" websites said CC has them for ~$150. Not sure if you have a CC near you or what tax would be in your state but it might be worth a look.

They had them 30% off MSRP (not 30% off original CC price because that went away when the liquidators took over). I was there last night and they were $175 + tax. No returns, good luck.

I was in Circuit City Sunday, and saw their Harmony remotes were 40%+ off (might have been 50%). The One was $125 or so.

If somebody wants one and will pay shipping, I can go buy them and ship to them for $5 or so on top of OTD price. They had 6 or so NIB. Also had the 890 series, the 690, and all touch screen one (forget the model name). PM me if you're interested.

Is there a reliable way to get a harmony to work with a PS3?

Here's a more-detailed thread on the subject. I went with the IR4PS3 because it was the cheapest (~$70 for DIY). It works really well. I haven't had any problems with it, and it's great to be able to turn on and off the PS3 with the remote and to have about 35 additional buttons on there.

Thanks.

I ordered me a Harmony One today, but I will probably wait to get the PS3 going or use my current bluetooth remote for that. This will at least eliminate the TV, DirecTV, reciever, Xbox360, and sirius radio remotes.

The Harmony One is the ultimate "coolness" gadget.

In other words - you don't need it but it's cool to have it.

The first time you wake up after falling asleep watching a DVD and lazily hit a single button to swith all of your components to watching TV it becomes pretty clear.

Any Harmony remote will do this. I probably wouldn't spend more than what the 880 costs. I bought the Harmony 688 for $73 shipped off of ebay about 3 years ago, and it works great for what I use it for. If I could've bought an 880 for $100 at the time, I would've definitely pounced on it. It's been that price a few times in the past couple months, so I'd recommend waiting until you can get it for that price again and getting the 880.

If I wasn't married I would make sweet love to my Harmony One.

My wife bought it for me, even . . . kinky! ;)

I bought the Harmony One a few months ago and really, really like it -- paid 150 after a 20 rebate (that I have yet to get!). My GF was shocked at how much it was but later when she got home and saw one remote (instead of 5), picked it up, touched the screen and things worked...she loved it. She thinks even her parents could use the remote!

Well worth the money. Plus, the rechargeable battery is replaceable and only needs to be charged about every 10 days or so.

550 refurb for $39.99? I just need to control cable box, 42" Plasma, and Sony bravia home theater system.

will work fine for your needs but i can't comment on the price.

That's a good price, and a good remote. Be warned, once you've used one, you're ruined for life :)

I was lucky enough to acquire my H1 for $135 back in the good old days of Microsoft handing out money. Thanks, Live cashback!

It's hard to go wrong with Harmony...
