i owned a 676 and it went through batteries monthly. (heard it wasn't good to use rechargeables on slow draining devices things like remotes, clocks, etc. so i used alkalines.)
because it became so costly, i replaced it with a Harmony One that has a built in chargeable battery/dock.
been using this one for a month and i find that i have to charge it weekly.
this is less of an issue because it's made to recharge, but it does lead me to wonder how crappy these remotes are on battery life.
i imagine the lcd touchscreen on this unit attributes to suckier battery life.
all this deep cycling surely is not good for the battery. good thing it is replaceable and relatively cheap.
