I recently picked up a Logitech Harmony One remote control for my grandmother, to replace the TV, Digital Tuner, and DVD Player remotes, since she cannot figure those out.

Well, I've run into a bit of a snag.

I connected my laptop to the internet at the library on WiFi.

I installed the CD that came with the remote. It installed the software. On the last page, it said that it would start the software once I hit "Finish", and gave instructions to plug the Harmony One into the USB port.

I plugged the remote into the USB cable, and plugged the cable into the PC. Said it was installing Logitech something, then USB HID device, then said hardware was successfully installed.

Clicked "Finish", and then the software came up after a few seconds.

Only problem is, I cannot click on anything! It gives me a menu option to select for auto-updates, Yes, Yes but prompt, No. I cannot click on them with my USB mouse, nor my integrated PS/2 touchpad, nor my integrated PS/2 keyboard (this is a laptop).

I had a similar problem last year when I picked up the game Far Cry. The mouse would work in the menus, but when I started the actual game, the mouse did nothing, I couldn't turn and shoot, I could only move with the keyboard.

Has this happened to anyone else? I need to get this remote programmed very soon, as I'm going back home away from my grandmothers house in a week and a half.

Edit: Was able to work around the dialog box non-clickability problem, by using ALT+TAB to select the dialog box, and then using TAB and SPACEBAR to select radio button and hit "OK".
