Two thumbs up for this remote...have installed several. Some systems take a bit of tweaking (up to 30 minutes or so), but it's well worth it!

I believe the OP's link might have a referral in it. Here's a cleaner link - http://www.amazon.com/Logitech...-Control/dp/B00093IIRA

There is not a referral in it, its long like that because I did a search in Amazon. Check it out for yourself...

And price was lowered :)

Maybe you should update your title with the lower price?

make sure you set the lower delays between devices and command for all the macros, lowered mine from the default to the minimum and everything shuts off/on much faster.

Never had a "fancy" remote (don't currently have an AV setup that _really_ needs it, but am looking into an upgrade :)). How much better is the 880 than the 620 that is on sale at Costco? What additional functionality (besides a color LCD) does it have? Is it worth an extra $30?

I loved this remote until the IR went out on it. Paid almost double the price two years ago as well.

One of the guys I work with has an IR->Bluetooth adapter he uses to get his 880 to work with his PS3. Think he said it was around $50 or so, but he couldn't remember exactly.

I bought an 880 a few years ago, and it's been great. The only problem (which started recently) is that some of the buttons are getting very hard to push.

Go buy a IR4PS3 device. Go look them up on google and you should find an article about it on avsforums. I believe you can email ir4ps3@hotmail.com for information. The guy's name is "Ben" (well that is the shortened English version, his name is really French). He is in Canada and makes this device. There are 2 ways, either a DIY kit (which is good if you already own a Sony bluetooth remote for the PS3 since you need to take the control board out of that remote), or a fully built version. It is real simple to do yourself, so if you already have the remote for the PS3 just get that. You will need to add a power supply. I had a spare 6V DC 300mA power supply already, I just had to change the connector to a typeA connector. You can power it by USB, but you will need a USB device nearby to give it the power (yes you "could" use the PS3 for this, but then you wouldn't be able to use the remote to power on the PS3 since if it is off there is no power being sent to the USB devices).

I've never owned the 550 so I don't know how to answer. I do have 2 880's though and owned the 768. While the 768 was nice, I had too many issues with the delay in terms of how long it would take to respond to a key press. The 880 didn't have this issue.

I personally didn't like the layout of the 550, and the number buttons didn't feel right for me.

Well, I'm in for one. Been looking for a good remote for my home theater setup and it sounds like this will do nicely. Good price too. Thanks a bunch bur'!

Hey I saw someone asked about the 550-vs-this 880, anyone know if the buttons are any better? I messed with a 550 in one of the local stores the other day and thought the buttons made if feel cheap. Hoping the 880 will be better, but for the features I can live with it either way. Should be here early next week I guess.

QFT. I am pretty much down to only using it as a universal on/off remote now due to this problem. After using it for a few years I would not buy another one because of this issue along with the difficulty of using it one handed and ongoing issues with getting it to charge correctly in the charger.

Should be able to. If there isn't already a preset for the Firefly remote, it can learn it's commands.

What do you guys mean by this? I have one, and would like to know what to look out for.
