That's an awesome remote, but I thought it always went for ~$100.
Maybe I'm thinking of a different model though. Too many for me to keep track of.

the 520, quite frankly sucks. I had it for about a week, and did not like the ergonimcs, the squeeky buttons and little other things about it. It used to lock up on me once in a while even after firmware updates etc.

I returned it and I opted for the 880 for $179 and Ecost (free shipping)

This is going to be a something I'll have forever so I figured I'd get the 880.

I can't comment on the much 600 sereies, but the bigger LCD on the 880 is a pretty nice feature you can actually read the other funcitons of your devices where as on the 520 with the smaller LCD, the button lables were cut off and it was kind of painfull to navigate through that

I got on the last 680 deal for $69. Overall, im happy with the 6XX series because of the ability to tie into my media center PC with it. I do own an 880.. The difference between the two for comparisons sake is that the 680 lacks more preset buttons. You have to use the 4th button on the left, then use the small multi buttons for your selection. The 880 has a grand of preset buttons to turn on your A/V equip.

i will say, getting everything setup the first time sucks. The reflash process on the 680 is painfully slow. Where as the 880 is much quicker.

Its a great remote none the less. If you have a MCP, this is definately a great remove since it also acts as a mouse.

I had at one time wanted to upgrade to the 880, but man.... so many problems.

1) Reboot issues
2) Charging problems with the cradle
3) Weak IR Signals (missing commands)

I decided to keep my 688 instead. Integrates very nicely into my custom built HTPC and all my other media components.

What's so suspicious about it? Do you seriously think I work for Logitech and they want me pushing this specific remote on the Anandtech deals board? I want to know if anyone found my hot deal helpful.

Your paranoia is suspicious.
