How is this keyboard? The price is better than anywhere else right now but from the reviews I've read at various places it seems to have a lot of issues with broken keys and shoddy Logitech service.

My 8 year old G15 is starting to show its age and wear, so I am looking for a replacement and this fits in my price range and I've always liked Logitech mice/keyboards. So would it be a decent replacement with similar reliability of my current G15?

Seems like all keyboards are about the same. gaming or not. not sure if they have one that you just code any button you want and all you do is button mashing.

isn't the G15 rubber dome? they aren't even comparable to mechanical keyboards, unless you're talking about the ability to create macros or whatever.

I have one. Its a nice keyboard. I move up to it from a g15 as well (It had started to miss keystrokes). Its a little more subtle in feel than some other boards. Its browns with o-rings. So it doesn't have much clicky noise. A mechanical keyboard should outlive you practically. However what I read on the g710+ is there there were some issues with the LED lights. That's actually a pretty common problem among mechanical backlit keyboards from what I've seen though. If you can live with maybe having a couple lights out in a few years, give it a shot. FWIW I understand it was mainly early production with the issues.
