Hi. I'm posting this because I thought it might help someone who has the same problem I did when I woke up this morning.

Effectively, when I turned my computer one this morning, the assigned keys on my Logitech G500 weren't functioning properly. The back and forwards commands were all right, but all the rest didn't work. I have my center key working as CTRL+W on most programs, as the spacebar on media player classic, as pause/play on winamp and the other keys change as well, depending on the program I'm using.

Last night, all was well, and I didn't install anything at all or change anything. So I was a bit lost. Even reinstalling Logitech Gaming Software didn't help.

I solved it by doing this:
- uninstall Logitech Gaming Software (this won't delete your profiles, which is a good thing)
- uninstall the mouse from Windows' Device Manager [ http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-device-manager#1TC=windows-7 ]
- detect hardware changes in Windows' Device Manager (this will allow you to use your mouse from now one). To do this without a mouse is simple: press the rightclick key on your keyboard [ http://chandoo.org/wp/2014/01/21/right-click-from-the-keyboard-not-the-mouse/ ] and select "Detect hardware changes". The mouse should start working in a few seconds.
- install Logitech Gaming Software again

And that's it. It's simple enough, but it got me lost for about an hour, like an idiot.

Hope it helps!

P.S.: G500? Best IT thing I've ever owned.
