Logitech G5

I saw an article onThe Inquirer about Logitech's new mice. I think they're the ugliest POS mice Logitech ever made. I don't know what's up with the orange spot, it looks wierd. Then there's the G7, which looks even worse, I hate the teal colored crap. Also, it looks like they got rid of some buttons. One of the thumb buttons seemed to have disappeared and they got rid of the button in front of the scroll wheel. I actually use all those buttons my my MX510.
So far I'm very disappointed in Logitech's new gaming mice, I was looking forward to their new lineup. Hopefully they turn out better than what they seem to be like now.
 
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL MY TECHNOLOGY IS GETTING OUTDATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST MY 3200+ WINCHESTER, THEN MY 6600GT, NOW EVEN MY MX518 MOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: forgot to mention that EVEN MY VS2121's are now outdated by the VS2221's, DOUBLE AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
 
The only thing that I would like about the G7 over the MX1000 would be the hot swap battery, which would be kinda cool. Because I have had it run out on me occasionally.
 
I was hoping the wired version of the MX1000 - the G5 -would be designed just like it, but noes. They had to go use the MX 5xx design, which isn't the best.

The shape of the MX1000 is perfect IMO...damn them for not using its shape 🙁
 
I just sold my MX1000 and bought a MX518 because I liked the ability to adjust the sensitivity on the fly. The very next day, I saw the new gaming mice and wanted to kick myself.
 
The one thing I don't like about the G5/G7 is it looks like it has less buttons than the MX700, that is pretty stupid.
 
i still know my mx510, no matter how old, will still own the newbs buying the latest and greatest. just gotta learn how to utilize your current hardware
 
bump to see if anyone has used the G5 yet? i like the idea of it, i dont mind the size/shape either, my MX510 is good, but i want the adjustable sensitivy on the fly for my gaming.......i've tried it on a friends 518 and it felt good, i want better tho ;-)

my MX510 is wearing out a bit tho, havnt had it long.....played a lot with it tho...heh

Not sure where they are getting them from because they aren't even availabe on logitech's site yet. All they have is a notification option.

is where I got September from, my mistake. So STILL not out yet. I am probably going to believe logitechs site before a 3rd party retailer in the UK.
 
I want to have sex with the G15 keyboard. Seriously, it looks that awesome. And a threesome with the G5 mouse would be even better. I can't wait for these to come out, logitech will be takin my money.

im guessing overclockers.co.uk got its stock in but didnt realise it was supposed to hold back till september......either that or they put up a green light when it should be a yellow pre-order by accident........guess i shoulda ordered one when i posted on here to see if it got delivered...lol...too late now as its september on thursday.....heh

oh well, at least the reviews going up are positive.....i do like the idea of that weights thing, and more importantly the separate sensitivity for up/down and sidewards axis....that will be useful for CS:S....i rush a lot as a tactic and its annoying sometimes when things get exciting and i look up or down to much...lol
