I was playing Battlefield 2 today when all of a sudden the controls were out of whack. If I move it, it slows down and speeds up again on the screen while it's moving, gaming or just on my desktop. How can I uninstall the Logitech drivers, do you think that would help?

What mousepad do you have? I use funcpad, and my Mx510 / G7 works perfectly. Also, it MIGHT your system choking.

I don't use a mousepad and I haven't for a while. My CPU usage is hovering around 2%, so I'm puzzled. It's very difficult to hit a button accurately now with it.

Copied directly out of Logitech's help topic, it definatly sounds a lot like my problem.

My mouse pointer is moving erratically
If your mouse is an optical or laser device it does not normally require cleaning. However if your mouse pointer skips or moves abnormally you may need to clean the mouse.

Check the lens area of the mouse for lint or other debris that may have accumulated. If there is debris clean the area surrounding the sensor using a cotton swab.

Note

DO NOT use solvents or other cleaning agents on the sensor.

I forgot to mention that my mouse just freezes sometimes and even after a reformat of my computer it still does it.

I had same issue from the sound of it. Turned out to be interference from another wireless device.

It just started happening one day. Then it would stop, get worse, get better. Driving me nuts. Then one day it just completely choked and stopped working (stopped moving on the screen).

That was when I heard something outside...my neightbor had one of those remote-controlled RC cars out in the street (quiet street, no traffic) and was zipping it up and down the street. Had no idea they pumped out so much RF trash noise. Sure enough when he stopped playing around and turned off his gizmo then I could use my mouse again. Thankfully he hasn't played with his wireless toy race car for a while.

Moral of the story...suspect interference and be ready for it to drive you crazy until you figure out which neighbor just bought a new wireless telephone for the house or one of those wireless baby monitors.
