Logitech G5 35.99 at BestBuy

Sold out online and not available for PU at any Seattle area store, bummer. I have been looking for one of these off and on for a year, guess I have to wait a little longer.
 
I've got a MX518, but I tried my friend's and kinda liked it, but missed my back and forward buttons. Anyone else have reccomendations? I would have picked up that VX one but I didn't like that it was cordless.
 
I got it a week ago (for $35.99). CC has it for $74 or something but they wouldn't pricematch it. Local Circuit City's suck here in Tucson.
 
I like the MX518 better, too, I like the dpi buttons on top and bottom of the scroll wheel rather than all on one side like the G5/G7
 
That is a good price on the G5, but I am a bigger fan of the MX518. It has more buttons, and I like the size/feel of it more.

I have a G5, by the way. =\

Talk with the manager, they will do it provided the product is in stock at your local BB. I went to CC a few weeks back to do the pricematch and they gave me crap too but as soon as I talked with the manager, he got it all straighted out and gave me the 110% price difference. I got the G15 for $44.99 and the G5 for $32.99 with pricematch plus.
 
I was refused Pricematch at CC, even by the manager. .. I tried this about a week ago. YMMV on doing this..
 
The G5 has a nicer texture on it, its a sort of grippy matte stuff, and the feet are way bigger and made from teflon, and then there is that weight thingy system in it, and the cord is covered in cloth. The 518 has more buttons, which are also better placed. If you own a 518, its more of a side grade, if you don't own either, I guess the g5 is slightly nicer. I ended up not getting it cause I own a 518, but now I'm second guessing that decision 😛
 
Saw some yesterday at the BB on Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh. Haven't checked the one on Capital yet. It's a steal at this price, I bought mine 8 months ago for 45 and the best mouse I've own so far.
 
Middle button sucks on the G5 btw, you have to press it just right or it won't register a click. Other than that, I like it.
 
if they have them instock in your area you can get staples to do 110% price guarantee and they'll accept the 12% off coupon on top of that so you end up getting it for $27.87, and i ordered 4 of them to use another $20 off $100 staples coupon and made them $22.87 each!
 
I'll probably pick one of these up today.. I have the MX518 now and I've been pretty happy with it, but I'd like to see the teflon feet in action 🙂

Besides, I don't use the forward button much anyway, so I won't miss it too much.

is this 12 percent off coupon a staples coupon or a bb coupon? is it floating around or was it sent in the mail? Thanks!

You might want to take yours back then for a replace. I remember having that same issue with the first one I got and with that problem it also wouldnt always scroll up every click either. Took it back to CC and got replacement and neither issue came up.
 
the 12% off coupon is floating around onine and is a printable best buy coupon, but staples takes best buy coupons without a problem
