Hey everyone. Well i plunged on the viewsonic 171b lcd monitor and will be running dual displays. Only thing is that counter-strike does not support its native resolution. I have my old 19" crt on my other desk and i already have an mx700 so it would be easy to slide over and play from there. But I have a corded keyboard that will not reach the desk.

How good are those logitech cordless keyboards? How do you keep them charged? Is it very similar to my mx700 as far as lag goes ( i feel none whatsoever)? If I get someone to sell me just the keyboard from the elite duo combo will it work with my base station? And can i buy just the keyboard anywhere?

Please let me know

thanks guys.

If you're talking about the black split keyboard that usually comes with the mouse, I would also like to get my hands on one of those seperately. i have the MX-700 mouse already, so buying the combo would be idiotic on my part, and I just can't justify it. I'd love to have this keyboard because my monitor, mouse, case, printer/scanner/copier trio, logitech web/digicam, desk and logitech speakers are all black and grey, and i hate that the keyboard is the only piece of equiptment I have that is off this color combo, being that it's white. It kills me. I don't want to purchase it online, although I don't even know if it can be purchased separately online. I've looked everywhere as far as b & m stores, and none have one.

No. All of the Logitech wireless keyboards are pretty good though. I had one and I would only notice a slight lag when I typed really fast (80 wpm+).

Why not go out and buy the combo, then sell off your current MX-700 either on the FS/FT forums here, or to a friend :)

A couple of years ago when I got my logitech wireless stuff, I got the Cordless iTouch combo, which had the keyboard, and a balled mouse. At the time, their first cordless optical mouse had just come out, and i wanted that rather than the balled mouse, so i bought both, and sold the reciever from the cordless optical mouse (it didn't have a charger built in) and the balled mouse to my dad, leaving me with the keyboard, and optical mouse, all going through one reciever :)

I've had this setup nearly 2 years, and I love it! :) There's no noticable lag on the keyboard, and I've actually got better in games since I got them! ;)

I've had the combo set for about 6 months and its worked great thus far. No problems at all. Battery's usually last 1 1/2 - 2 months.

Sounds good. Im pretty set on getting one. I'll probably look around the forums for someone selling the mx combo and then sell my current mx700. I love this mx700 so I wouldnt really be interested in regular cordless duo. Thanks for the input though.

BTW if any of you have the godfather trilogy. I want it. LOL. I am a consumer.

Can't one use both the wireless keyboard AND the MX-700? I've got desktop space for an extra receiver. I really don't care for the mouse that comes w/that combo.

this reminds me that my friend had a logitech wireless combo and he dropped the keyboard and it broke. wireless mouse eats some battery too.

of course, MX700 is an exception
