Why even worry about these refurbished units when both Sams Club and Costco sell this comb for under $75 everyday. PM to Staples and if your lucky stack a coupon on top of that. There is also a 10% up to $10 rebate coupon in the box good on your next Logitech purchase limit 3 per person , but I submitted my three on these combos and received my rebates. For example, I purchased three of these back in April at Staples and PMed to Sams Club at $74 and was able to use a $40/$200 on top of that. My net after PM, and MIR was under $50 each for new units.

I bought this set 2 days ago at Staples pricematching buy.com's price of $77.99. Added a $10 off coupon and the total comes out to $65. Not bad but the mouse is so jumpy. It's not very accurate plus, since both keyboard and mouse are wireless, they use up 6 batteries together. I read online that the mouse will go through two AA batteries in about 2 weeks! Horrible! I don't want to keep changing batteries on my mouse every two weeks. To make matters worse, the mouse seems to be on all the time. I thought that it should have a power-save mode but it doesn't seem so.

The keyboard is a different story. I completely loved it, especially the volume dial. That really kicks ass. Too bad the mouse can't live up to the keyboard's standard.

Just returned the set to Staples. Saw the Microsoft Wireless combo at Costco for $79.99. Don't know if I should buy. I definitely like the MS mouse better though.

My 2cents on this...

I've had the logitech set for a year now. I use the mouse and keyboard 8 hours a day and only replaced the batteries in the mouse twice. My only gripe about the mouse would be the weight of it. It certainly does not kill batteries considering its on 24hours a day.

What batteries do u use? The batteries in mine run out after about a month, but I guess its because im using it 12 hours a day. Its not easy being a geek.

I have been using this set since Feb. I found that by placing a sheet of white paper under the mouse when I turn the computer off,it shuts the mouse off extending battery life.My gripe is the thumb button is too small for my arthritic hands. I would like to be able to make that button the WEB Wheel button instead of the double click but it can NOT be done.

For those people having problems with the batteries wearing out too quickly....Just call Logitech. I said my mouse batteries died after 4 weeks.....they sent me a new combo (mouse and keyboard and receiver) for FREE. I got it within a week. Awesome. They told me to keep the other set. Seems some of the older models had a mouse problem.:D

Those of you that are members might want to check out your local Sam's Club--although samsclub.com has these priced at $74.99, I saw a modest stack of them just a few hours ago at my local Sam's marked at $49.99.

It seems that sometimes these low prices appear at some Sam's and not at others. Could also be a simple mistake in this case, I suppose.
