Logitech Cordless Elite Duo questions.

Hi, just bought this set of keyboard and mouse combo...

the color and its user friendly...

i do have some question... i was using the Logitech Cordless Freedom...

i changed this one because of the optical mouse.

1st.. my mouse doesn't working on my old mouse pad. It is a green cutting pad and also a mouse pad too. when i use the new mouse on it. it doesn't move at all or just a little. and my table is kinda shiny because it is a plastic top surface. so is it an optical mouse problem?

2nd.. do i have to install and load the "i-touch" software at startup to get the volume on keyboard working? all i have at startup is vplus(icqplus) and nvcl(i ovclocked my geforce)

3rd.. no third yet...

oh, the 3rd one suddenly pop up...

do u have to set the refreshrate? i know PS/2 mouse u do have to set it to 200ms, what about optical mouse? if do, what is it?

and isn't the mouse should be very precise?

my mouse it not prcise at all... it sometimes faster and sometimes slower...

is it the matter of what mouse pad i use?

the mouse just doesn't like my table...

If you want a good mousepad get a fUnc sUrface 1030 from http://www.func.net/
I saw one of those wireless dealies before and I didn't like them, I felt they lagged.
Instead of that I got a Logitech Elite Keyboard and MX500.

a corded mouse is no good for me...

i have a backup mouse which the cord is too short, i end up being lefthanded.

i now just use some magazine as the mousepad

someone please help me...

the mouse is just not precise at all... i know optical mouse's advantage is precision.

but mine isn't... i believe i have something setup wrong or not yet tuned.

someone please guide me.. once again, i didn't install i-touch software. and using a magazine as a mouse pad.

faye, it definetly sounds like you got bum parts. Those parts are really good, and you should exchange them. I am using the Cordless Elite (I put the mouse back in the box as it sucks) and the MX700. It is simply an awesome combo and if anyone is having problems, exchange it because normally it works perfectly.
