OfficeMax will have the Logitech Cordless Elite Duo on sale on Sunday
January 26, 2003 for $49.99.

For more savings order the Logitech Cordless Elite Duo, from Staples.com,
then do a pricematch with OfficeMax on sunday.

Then use this $15 off rebate
http://ak.buy.com/buy_assets/retail/pdfs/004/CORDLESS_ELITE_DUO.pdf .
Or, if you have a reciept saying you paid more than $75 use this 20% off rebate
http://www.logitechcordless.com/images/coupon.pdf instead.
Also you can order at Staples via ebates.com for extra savings.

A 20 off 100 staples coupon might help, or might just reduce
the pricematch.

wow, great find! sure to jump on this ho.

This is probably the best way to get it for $25 + tax.
First, buy it at staples fpr $100 before sunday. photocopy your receipt and save it for the 20% off rebate.
Second, go back on sunday with the office max ad and get your 110% pricematch, which you will get $55 back.
So that's
$100 - $55 (110% pm) - $20 (20% off your original receipt of $100) = $25 +tax

Please don't at effect this to hell tho.

Linkified MIRs:

[*]Logitech Cordless Elite Duo $15 Rebate
(Not valid at Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Fry's Electronics, Micro Center, Office Depot, Office Max, Wal-Mart)
[Expires 03/31/2003]

[*]Logitech Cordless Products 20% Rebate
[Expires soon! 01/31/2003]

I like Naruto's suggestion very much. It's 100% legal and ethical. You buy an item @ Staples for $100 and send in 20% your rebate right away (i.e. get back $20). Afterwards you find the item for half the price @ a competitor (i.e. OfficeMax). Staples has to give you 110% of the price difference = $55.

Thus, $100 - $20 rebate - $55 PM indeed comes out to very very low $25!

BTW, both rebate offers are "limited" to (3) rebates per product per household! :D

If you order online don't forget to add something very small und use $20 off $100 coupon floating around. If you can only get this instore use the $15 off of $75....The $20 off $100 make this $5 plus your tax, if pricematch flies and they don't subtract coupon....Go through ebates also for an extra 2%

err...never mind..OP already said that :p

If you are using the 20 % rebate, don't use coupons, they will lower your rebate return. Buying at $100 and getting the pm back later is best with this rebate, because your rebate return should be $20.

Add the following additional items to your cart:
[*]OIC Paper Clips, Non-Skid, #1, .034 Thickness @ 19¢ (SKU #525931)
[*]FILA Sports Bag @ $39.99 (SKU #493092)

Apply the "FREE FILA SPORTS BAG w/ $100 purchase" coupon = $40 coupon
Apply the $20 off $100 coupon
Apply the stackable AMEX coupon (it's supposed to be a $10 cpn, but it came up as a $20cpn for me!!!)

Note: Use coupons at your own risk. You'll stand a much better chance of getting the PM to go through w/o the coupons being deducted if you do your PM of your Staples.com web-order at a Staples B&M! Minimum wage store clerks are far less "informed" than Staples.com CSRs!

Sooooo... If everything is smooth sailing, the deal becomes:

$100 Kybd/Mouse + $40 FILA Bag - $20 MIR (20%) - $40 FILA CPN - $20 CPN - $20 STACKABLE CPN - $55 PM = $-15 !!! :D
Oh, plus 19¢ for the paperclips.

*EDIT* Remember to order w/ AMEX if you use the STACKABLE CPN!

I disagree. The rebate form asks you to circle the PURCHASE PRICE & DATE. If you add multiple items to your order (such as what I posted in my previous message), it'll make it that much harder for them to figure out what coupons were applied to what item. The rebate after all is directly from Logitech, not Staples. You'll get the full $20 on the $99.99 purchase price.

exit88, yes, Staples policy is to deduct coupon amounts before pricematches; however, whether or not store clerks will follow that is purely a YMMV thing. BTW, you may want to update the subject of this deal to include the FREE FILA BAG (when adding the 19¢ paper clips).

*EDIT* Forgot to mention, the FILA coupon is apparently STACKABLE.

If it does, that's an easy one to fix. Simply return the FILA bag, the FILA bag coupon, and the paper clips. Then you're back to the original $25 deal w/o a FILA bag.

This is my first post...so be easy on me.

I've read all the previous posts and think I've got a better deal for you more experienced dealmakers.

Buy the duo at Staples for $99.99
Then take the OM add back to staples for the 110% PM guarantee ($55)
The total on the duo comes to $44.99 @ Staples
Use a $10 off $40 printable coupon found on you know where....
Scan your original receipt and get the $20 from Logitech

If my math serves me correctly...

That's 99.99 - 55 - 10 - 20 = 14.99 + tax on 44.99

And FYI, I've had CSR's let me do both PM and use Coupons...so YMMV.

What do you guys think??

or... you could try this

$50 at Omax - $10 off $40 staples (which they HAVE to honor, because it says so in their policy) - $8 from 20% rebate from Logitech (I don't think there's a minimum purchase price on it) = $32 + local tax. Which is pretty nice deal considering these things are going for $55-70 on FS/FT forums and $80+ on Ebay.

Stopped STAPLES today to ck. out deal and it looked good when i saw that the mouse was the MOUSEMAN model i have, its the best. So i took the PM way because i had next weeks OM flyer with me. GOT it for $50.00 and will use the $15.00 rebate. This way i didn,t have to go back. Guess what, i come home and find the $10.00 off $40.00 coupon, i,am going back.

And why would they choose to use the 20% off coupon to get only $8 when there's a straight-up $15 coupon on the Cordless Elite Duo?

Don't forget, if staples not in you area, then you can PM at Circuit City...

I Just pulled trigger on this deal at my Local Circuit cCty store...bought 3 @ 106 (w/ tax). Sent in rebate for $20 each. I will get OM Price match for $50 Early next week...

106 - 55 - 20 = $31 tax included, very fair deal IMHO...

If you paid $50 PRE-TAX @ Staples, they didn't price match according to their policy. It's a 110% price match. Since the price difference is $50, 110% of $50 is $55. You should have paid $45 (i.e. $100 - $55 PM) for your Cordless Elite Duo.

With that said, you would have been better off buying it at FULL PRICE ($99.99) to take advantage of the 20% MIR offer, then pricematch. Since you already initially purchased it for $50, you're better off using the $15 MIR for a final price of $30. Hope this made sense to you.

That's a good point, but should it matter to someone, the $15 MIR is not valid at:
Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Fry's Electronics, Micro Center, Office Depot, Office Max, Wal-Mart

*EDIT* You did your math using "106" which I assume is the $99.99 price PLUS salex tax. Once you get the $55 PM, you need to add sales tax back on to that (which brings it up to $58.30). Thus, you'll really pay: $106 - $58.30PM - 20 MIR = $27.70, tax included. :D

I believe you people should read my earlier post.

It's the cheapest way to get this combo.

If anyone can get the price below $14.99 + local tax...then I stand corrected!

I posted a method of getting this thing for -$15 (i.e. profiting $15 for purchasing the Cordless Elite Duo). Your method, while not nearly as "risky" as mine, is still a YMMV thing.

According to the OFFICIAL Staples policy, coupons are supposed to be deducted from the purchase price of an item BEFORE price matching takes place. So if you use your $10 off $40 coupon, Staples can claim "our price is now only $89.99, so we'll price match $89.99 from $49.99" resulting in a $40 difference, which is a $44 price match. Then your deal becomes $90 - $44 PM - [$20 or $18 or $15] MIR (perhaps the 20% MIR of $100, perhaps 20% of $90, or perhaps the $15 MIR offer) = $26 to $33 (depending on which MIR you qualify for and how much it is).

*EDIT* Forgot to clarify, if Staples follows the official PRICE MATCH policy, the $10 coupon I believe gets "absorbed" into the price match. If not, then reduce the final price to $16 to $23 depending on MIR.

*EDIT2* Of course it gets "absorbed" into the PM. The reduced PM from $55 to $44 negates the $10 CPN. :frown:

my point exactly, Staples aren't so nice about PMing and adding coupons anymore, so it's YMMV situation. Also, my $32 deal is FOR SURE deal. $20 rebate is non-valid at OMax and only at Staples.

So @ staples w/o $10 coupon

$50 - $20 = $30

@ Omax

$50 - $10 off $40 - $8 = $32, they're both pretty much the same. My local Omax needs more business from me though, their store leaks when it's raining.

Staples is not $50 - $20, it's $45 - 20 = $25 final price (plus sales tax on $45)
Recap: Staples price is $100, OfficeMax is $50. Staples price after OM PM is: $100 - $55 (110% of $50 difference) = $45
When ZERO coupons are used @ Staples, you get this deal for $25. I do believe though that CockyBrock's $10 off $40 coupon suggestion will fly with relative ease at a Staples B&M even after the PM (thus bringing the total down to $15).

*EDIT* I see no restrictions WHATSOEVER on the 20% MIR (which becomes 20% of $100, or $20) when purchasing at Staples. When using your method @ OM, it's $50 (OM price) - $10 Cpn - $8 MIR (20% of $50) = $32. The $15 MIR has restrictions that you talked about, not the 20% MIR.

The 10 off 40 is definately a YMMV thing...

I've had numerous success with using coupons with PM, but only in B&M stores.

And the 20 can be collected by copying your original receipt from Staples @ 100.

Therefore, Final Price= 14.99 + tax on 34.99 (44.99-10 coupon)

I gave the "$10 off $40" B&M coupon some further thought ...

Scenario 1:
[*]You buy the Duo @ Staples or Staples.com for full price (i.e. $99.99) to take full advantage of the 20% MIR ($20).
[*]Later you go back to a Staples B&M w/ your receipt, an OM sales flyer, and the "$10 off $40" printable CPN.
[*]First you request your PM. This means you're going to receive a refund of the $55 PM amount.
[*]Now, while getting a refund, you're going to apply a "$10 off $40" cpn??? I guess it's not beyond the realm of possibility; however, that's a bigger YMMV than I initially thought. If it succeeds, then (and only then) does your final price become $15 AR.

Scenario 2:
[*]You go to a Staples B&M w/ an OM sales flyer and the $"$10 off $40" cpn.
[*]You buy the Duo instantly PM'd to OM @ $44.99 (i.e. $99.99 - $55 PM).
[*]Since you're making an initial purchase, after the PM has been applied, you pull out your "$10 off $40" cpn and get your purchase down to $34.99 (which IMO should fly w/ relative ease).
[*]Problem: Your Duo purchase price is now only $44.99 (as listed on your receipt), so the 20% MIR is now only worth $9.
[*]Switch to the $15 MIR and your final price is $20 AR (which still beats the $25 guaranteed deal but is not as hot as the $15 deal).

Thus, the "$10 off $40" coupon should be able to bring this deal down to $20 AR (small YMMV) but may succeed as $15 AR too (BIG YMMV).
