After the rebates the price is actually $49.99, but shipping is an automatic $19.99, and tax for me was about another $10 so came out to $80 for me, might be between $70 and $80 for others depending on the tax. This would be close or the same as the buy.com deal a while back except no need for google check out.

+ $19.99 S&H = $69.98

Plus, it's SOLD OUT right now.

Still a really good deal though, assuming they get more and rebates come through...

thanks allisolm, and roemer, I haven't bought from here before (until last night) but I've heard good things about them.

Wow, shipping out was pretty fast too. Ordered last night and shipped out today, expected to arrive on Saturday, guess their warehouse is in CA

Doesn't mean they dont sell good products or you can't find their products at good prices.

I have previously bought Zalman NB47J northbridge for $6 which let me overclock Gigabyte DS3 P965 to 425FSB with ease. I also purchased Logitech MX518 mouse for $19.99 brand new last year. This deal also looks sweet. It just pays to shop around. Also, I can't think of another 5.1 set of speakers for $70 which bests this...unless you can.

That's freaking expensive.

It's freaking heavy?

FWIW, ClubIT rocks in my experience (CPU, PSU, other odds and ends).

I've read that the bass in this system is actually too loud for lots of uses, and there's no way to turn it down built into the hardware, but I guess you can use software equalizers to turn it down?

the z-5500 has a sub specific volume control, I would guess the z-5300 has it as well.

I believe that it does, but it's lowest setting is still considered way to high by many users... Either way, like I said, I'm sure you can use a software EQ to turn it down. Just annoying if that's even necessary.

logitech is amazing for the price, but their subs have always been considered "boomy". As opposed to say a klipsch system that has an amazing non-boomy bass.

I've heard of people opening up the sub and stuffing it to elimate the boominess, doubt its worth killing the warranty on them though.

Haha, I can confirm that most, if not all, of logitech speaker systems rock out the bang/buck ratio. However, their subs are notorious for being too powerful. I had a set of z680s at school (z560s before that) and constantly received complaints to turn the volume down. Bass level never went above 25% and still shook the walls.

But they generally sound amazing, especially for the price.

I can't even use the rear speakers due to my particular home setup, but I still feel the need to upgrade from my old Logitech 5.1 setup. These things look great for the price. I may try the Best Buy RocketFish wireless box with the rears and see how that works out.
