Hey guys i used to have a Muse XL soundcard and a few days ago i got a SB Audigy. Before when i listened to mp3s if i turned the fader all the way to the right I would have only sound in the rear speakers, now I still have sound in both the fronts and rears, why is this? And is there any way to change it? Note this is without using M3D.

Make sure the audio control panel is configured for 4 speaker (or 4.1). It sounds like it's just sending 2 channels so both the left speakers get the same signal no matter what.

Although I would have expected the manual control knob to completely shut off sound to the front speakers even if the sound card was still sending signal to them.

did you try setting up the fader in the audigy card's options? go to the surround mixer option and set up cmss2 to have sound apply to the rear.
one question though.... why only rear sound when you have 4.1 sound? if your looking to do this, just... unplug the front speakers from the back of the computer.....
