Logitech® MX? 610 Cordless Laser Mouse27.99 AR

Looks somewhat hot price wise. It was a bit cheaper a couple weeks ago but thats no longer available and this is. As for whether its a good gaming mouse. I would say no. I would go with something corded for gaming. MX510, MX518, G5, Diamondback, Copperhead

That's a damn good mouse. I paid $50 for mine. It works great for games-- I don't know why anyone would say otherwise. Maybe once a day it skips because of interference or whatever. The shape is one of the most ergonomic I have ever used. Much better than Logitech's MX510, etc.

Edit: You can remap the buttons, including the volume, IM, and email using a utility called UberOptions.

Well, I've been gaming with my cordless MX700 for a couple of years now, it has ZERO lag. Better do some reading before you make posts next time.

I got this mouse a while ago from buy.com for about $16 after $20 MIR. This is a good mouse for office use but not for gaming.

Bottom line is no cordless mouse will ever be as responsive as a corded. Period. I've used almost every highend logitech cordless out there and they cant compete with any good corded optical. Heck even a Microsoft 800dpi corded optical is better.

I dont care how much marketing logitech dumps on use. Sure thier "fast RF" technology is an improvement but its still FAR from corded performance.

You guys who say that corded is so much better than cordless for gaming must have a LOT of interference! I previously owned a cordless MX700, and I currently own a MX1000 & MX610, as well as two MX510s.
The cordless mice work every bit as well as the corded ones.

You really must be BadThad in FPS games then, because I own a MX700 and simply cannot game correctly with it. I went out and got a Razer Diamondback so I could just use the MX with my lappy and the different for me was night and day. ZERO lag my ass, you might be content with the slow response during strategy games, but play me in a FPS DM Instagib where accuracy is a necessity and we'll see.

So while we're on the subject about gaming mouses, I heard pro-gamers don't even use optical mouse to begin with. They say the ball mice still gives them the best feel and response.

I personally use a logitech wireless ball mouse to play SC and I have a hard time switching.

The late 90's called, they want their technology back.

Gaming with my MX700 since '03, lag free. 😉

is there a reason why both logitech's and razr's flagship gaming mouses are both corded sinced corded is soooo 90's?

Ever heard of the G7?

okay so its a cordless version of the g5, is there a cordless version of the copperhead? i think the copperhead edges the logitech in a review i last read.

I can't vouch for this mouse as a fps mouse since I don't play those games, but for rts, mmo, and photoshop it's one of the better mice I've had. I keep the receiver on a usb extender so that the receiver usually stays ~9 inches away to minimize interference. My only gripe with it is the .25 sec start up lag when you wake it up from sleep mode, other than that I haven't had problems with it.

This mouse may be good for gaming, but as a cordless mouse and with today's limited technology it will not be AS good as a corded mouse for gaming. Stick with an MX510 or MX518 imho.

Radio waves, like all electromagnetic radiation, travel at 299,792,458 m/s. Incidentally, that is the same speed that electrical signals travel down a cord. Modern RF mice don't have any more 'lag' than corded mice.

Typical wired mice have a latency from 12ms and 20ms. With wireless, additional latency is added as the signal must also travel from the radio device to the wireless dongle.

Significant? It depends on the user. I'm not drawing any conclusions, just stating some info.

I can see the difference between the various mice I"ve owned/used.

its almost like a hesitatio before the mouse actually moves...aka, Lag.

Oh, how wrong you are. Gaming with my Logitech G7 is wonderful (and previous to this, my MX1000). Maybe that's the way it should be, but that's far from the reality of it.

I certainly wouldn't take the cheapo route with a cordless mouse. I even tried a corded mouse after using a wireless one. What a pain in the a$$- like a dog on a leash!

HAHAHAHAHAHA

All I play is FPS games! Come to our CODX server and I'll hand your ass to you on a plate my friend. Just for your reference, with my horrible MX700, I'm regarded as the #1 player in the community. PM me for the IP if you'd like a lesson. :disgust:
