I got a laptop and it has vista home premium 64 bit. i also use this OS on my desktop.

When i boot my desktop, it goes right to my picture with user name and asks for a password.

when i boot the laptop, it goes to a screen with just the picture and my user name. i click that then i get the screen asking for the password.

how do i make it show up like it does on my desktop? i can't figure it out to save my life.

It takes a third party app (any of which I don't trust) or a registry edit.
Just Google Vista autologon and pick your poison.

it doesn't autologon, it just goes straight to the enter a password screen. i don't have to click on my picture to get there.

i don't recall using any 3rd party apps or any registry hacks to do it on my desktop.
