billions of people doing all sorts of jobs

maybe a couple million soldiers in war? several million more people on top of that in immediately affected areas then? maybe it makes sense, and maybe that was including people dying *at* work, maybe not necessarily *from* the job? *Shrug*

Edit: ohhh ok, i read the whole thing.

My guess is there's some stat saying that x% of soldiers who go to war die during the war and another stat saying that 3x% of workers die on the job.

Kind of stupid because you work for 40 years and soldiers are typically in active combat for a few years max during their lives.
