I know there is a way to change how you log into Windows XP Pro, but how? I dont want that same old Welcome Screen. How do you make it so when you boot up you have to press ctrl+alt+del to start, then type your user name and psswrd?

Am at work with Win2k rather than me XP Pro at home but I believe that it's in the users/passwords section in the control panel, if not then try in the Administrative Tools section, there should be user management in there too with more advanced options.

I don't think that is an option in XP.

I think you have the choice of usernames shown or not and that's it.

START => Control Panel => User accounts => change the way users login and logout.

Open the Start | Run dialog. Type in

control userpasswords2

and click on the OK button or hit the Enter key. Select the Advanced tab on the resulting dialog. Put a checkmark in the Secure login section of that page, next to the item called "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete".
