Err um, I forget which forum, but 1 out of the three forums I read doesn't auto remember my
login and password so I don't log out of it I just
X out of it and surf away when I'm done, and
when I return I am already logged in. The other
two automatically log me in when I show up even if
I log out when I'm done.
Is there any reason that I SHOULD log out ? Why
does windows (hmmm) not remember my login for that
particular forum even when I check the box to do so ?

do you have cookies enabled? your browser might be rejecting anandtech's cookies.

For some reason, after a period of time the cookies becomes stubborn and uncooperative, and weird things start happening. In my case, this manifests itself in the inability to logout at all. Once I delete the cookies, the problem goes away until it gets clogged up again.
