Can you be more specific? Like when does it lock up? What kinds of software do you run? What is your hardware configuration (video card, harddrive, soundcard, drivers,etc...)?

Lot's of people here have one.
I see you have a LIVE soundcard. Have you installed the newest 4 in 1 drivers? I know there is some kind of compability problem between via boards and the LIVE, but I have been gone for awhile and I really don't know the details.

Please specify what you do when it crashes and when it does crash. I'm using a MSI K7T-pro2a myself and I was having crashing problems. I thought it was the MB, but it turned out to be my network card

Just let us know what programs it crashes on, and what happens when you crash. More info, more info, more info.

Actually, I was having some lockup problems on my Pro2A / 1GHz Tbird. Thought it was heat related, but it got progressively worse, until, now it won't boot. I have stripped the board down to just the AGP card, floppy and memory, and I can't get it to boot. Stops on either the "initializing PCI bus", or "initializing IDE controller/disks". Called my vendor, and am getting a MSI K7T-Turbo on replacement.

I'm wondering if the ATA100 controllers on these boards were too new, and now they are starting to flake out... I'm hoping the Turbo versions are slightly better tested. I also had a difficult time getting my Taisol GCK760092 on my Pro2A, and I'm hoping that will work out a bit better on the Turbo.

Just my $0.02....

Same thing just recently happened to my Pro2A, it wouldnt boot unless I left it off for about 15 hours straight. Turned out the board could no longer maintain proper voltage on the +3.3 rail so boot up failed 95% of the time. Even tried a new power supply, didnt change anything. Replaced it and all of its headaches.

sorry for not posting enough information on my problems, but if you want to know my computer specs, check out my sig. i usually have lockups randomly...such as: web browsing [with mp3s or watching a mpeg movie], playing counter-strike while listening to mp3s [everying freezes, but the mp3s are still playing]. another example of when it locks up is when i'm watching movies [avi, mpg]. i read on some MSI newsgroups and people have been reporting that the problem is possibly the IRQs and it's via's fault for having IRQ routing in the 4-in-1 drivers. i use win2000 professional and the irq routing driver doesn't need to be installed in win2k because it's only for win98. if anyone knows how to solve this problem, or has the same problem and found a solution...it would be VERY helpful. i've had this problem for more than 6 months already! thank you
