Lockups on A7V133

CrazyDog, have you at any point actually removed ALL of your PCI cards? Otherwize you're just making it harder for yourself.

Since my main use for this PC is accessing the internet, there's not a lot for me to test to see if the system locks up without a NIC. Do you have a suggestion of some utility I can download that would test my system?

See my torture test in my A7V133 review. You won't be able to do many of these, but you can still run multiple HDD copy ops and ExactAudioCopy CD ripping while running Sandra2001 burn-in wizard which stresses various components in itself. Also while playing sound w/onboard AC97.

PS: If you must have your nic attached (its being the ONLY PCI device!) then try it in all different slots, starting with PCI #2 where I have mine. My soundcard is in PCI #3 if this helps any, but you shouldn't add devices until stability is reached.

The configuration that you ended up with is the only configuration that has been stable for me since I've had this mobo.

PCI 1 = empty
PCI 2 = empty
PCI 3 = SBLIVE
PCI 4 = NIC
PCI 5 = empty

It's been running for me like this for 4 days straight.

They could make a MB cheaper by leaving off the extra PCI slots AMD never get to use:LOl,just like a women picky picky.I like to slap the parts in and go;or you might say a quickie system .BTW CRAZY DOG SWAP OUT YOUR MEMORY WITH YOUR BROTHER AND GIVE HIM YOUR PROBLEM .
