This is concerning a locked thread in the hot deals forum. The first poster thought the deal "might be" a fraud, so he took down the link. But the mods locked it before anyone called in to confirm it was a fraud or not. Since many people including myself ordered from this place, I wanted a thread so we can resolve our problem. Knowing hot deals forum isn't the right place to do it, I started one in the off topic forum here. But that one was locked right away. I was wondering where on this forum we can make a thread so we can unite to resolve our common problem. Or is this not possible on this forum?

So you started this thread to object to the Moderator's locking of a thread that discussed yet another locked thread? What part of "no" did you not understand?

I started this thread to figure out where (or whether if I can) post my thread. It would be helpful if the mods put a reason to their bans, so people would know what they did wrong. The lock of my thread said something along the lines of "we locked the other one, so this one should be locked too." That doesn't help much because I do not know why the first one was locked.

why would anandtech want to hinder the discussion of a possibly fraudulent company?

As has been mentioned, you went amiss in reposting a locked thread.

Next time (since this was dealing with something that may be important, a fraudulent company), you might try asking a mod's permission first. if they say yes, great, if not, you must respect that.

Thanks. How do I go about contacting a mod? I can't seem to find a list of mods to PM on this forum anywhere.
