locking pci clock?

I just got one of those 2100+ t-bred B's today, but I've never overclocked before aside from just upping the multiplier on my old t-bird and ocing a radeon. I'm afraid to change the fsb, for fear I might throw off the pci clock. do recent mobo's lock the pci clock? I have an MSI K7N2 (nforce2) and it has this option in the bios called (auto detect pci clock)...is that a pci lock setting?
I want to be absolutely sure I'm not going to crap my hd and other stuff.

12/04/02 UPDATE: MSI sends word that the K7N2-L indeed does not have a PCI bus lock at 33MHz, meaning you will overclock your PCI bus to a certain level at a certain overclocked FSB speed.

hmmm I did some more research on this myself and The Wise One over at amdmb forums did testing with a pc gieger and found the pci to be 33MHz at 140, 150, 180, etc fsb speeds. Also, even if it still is true that it doesn' have a pci lock for overclocking the fsb, it must allow for 166fsb because it supports official 166fsb chips

it should have a /5 divider

he would notice b4 anything broke i would expect
but go up little by little


it should atleast have 1/5 divider, so u know u can go there for sure lol
besides, most pci cards can take 38mhz or so, and most hd's as well
