Locking homepage in Mozilla

I want to move to Mozilla from IE at the elementary school I help administer, however, the only thing holding me back is the ability to lock the homepage so the kids can't change it. I can do this is IE with some registry changes, is there any way to lock the homepage of a Mozilla installation to, for example "http://www.google.com"

Thanks all.

EDIT: using Mozilla 1.7, forgot to mention. Default profile would be in C:\userdata, with mozilla installed to C:\program files\mozilla.org\Mozilla\
