I am looking to build and o/c a p4 1.6a computer soon. I was leaning towards the P4S533 due to it's price and features, but I was wondering if its pci/agp clocks can be locked. I don't like the thought of overclocking those much. If anybody could help and give a list of boards which allow this that would be very helpful, I was looking mainly at Asus boards, but am also open to others. Thank you.

I wound up buying the Abit BD7-R , it locks the PCI at 33 no matter the FSB speed, very happy with it.

Some of the Intel i845's have it, also some i850s if you are thinking RDRam. The SiS does not. Some 845s that do are

P4B266
EPOX 4BDA and 4BDA2+
Abit BD7

There may be some others.

Hmm...does the Asus P4b533-V allow the pci/agp clocks to be locked? I've heard that some of these boards have problems with their USB, specifically the P4B266's, and I am curious if other boards based on the 845 chipset have this problem, or if the P4S533 would have this problem, since i use quite a few USB devices. Also, does the new Epox board also have PCI/AGP lock?

Epox has the lock, no USB problems. Also has 3:4 mem ratio @ 133 and above FSB which the P4B266 does not. I'm not sure about the P4B533 yet. Too new still.
