Even if 900,000,000 (900 million) people die in December 2012, that is less than 1/7th of the world's population.

It is hard to imagine that many deaths at once.

And while that number is staggering, it is even harder to imagine that SEVEN BILLION people are alive right now.

In the last 24 hours, 490,000 people have been born and 150,000 died.

edit: It might be time for a lock.

When he said "900 Billion Dead" he was referring to the YouTube videos he flagged as inappropriate/copyright infringement/etc in the past week. Not people.

That's good, first thing that came to mind when I saw the title was I missed some major catastrophic event on the news. D:

If 900 million people died, Facebook would have to be shut down due to the number of insipid ecards posted to it.

Thank Oil for 7 billion people today.

When/if we run out 5 out of 7th of us are done......

the 5/7 will be put into the extreme compression chambers and turned into oil for the remaining 2/7s. The amount of human biomass that we will have when NATURALLY derived oil runs out will be enough to replenish about 20% of the previous supply.

Can you imagine how many more people we would have if China didn't have the common sense to restrict birth on its populace. That's something a lot of fucking poor ass fucking countries can learn from China. If you're fucking poor, stop popping more poor fucking babies out.

There's no way you even get a barrel of oil per person.

Well we don't know how big of a percentage people will make of the world's total biomass when we run out.

How much biomass does it take to get a barrel of oil though? Anybody know? Nevermind the time and amount of pressure, we will have to figure that out later on, but we can at least start making plans for making use of the extra humanity and can project some numbers on how much oil they will produce.
