This may shock some of you, but my girlfiends mother is 37 and with a guy that's 51 years old. He could have babysat her. It's kinda odd when I first heard about it but I've met the guy and it doesn't seem so strange anymore. Sure, for a younger person to be going out with someone that much older it is more of a oddity but when you get older it doesn't make much of a difference...

Interesting, but true. Probably the reason 3/4 of the people think its bad is because society (ours) has taught them to think that.

It's rare that people can think outside their own limited cultural perspective. People think morality is absolute when in reality it's not... it's cultural, and cultures are different around the world.
 
C'mon, people, do you live in a cave or what? It's the new millennium! There aren't any boundaries or taboos any more. Nothing matters... So who cares.
 
i think its just wrong..but what about michael douglas and catherine zeta jones,, the dude is 30 years older than her and no one seems to be fussing over that..apparently our society dosent consider it a taboo at some point in time..

Everdody has different tastes. When I was 18 I dated a 30 year old for over a year. Would have worked but she moved because of her job and I did not. (Family member in poor health and I was taken care of her )



To clarify though 22 yr old and 14 yr IMHO is not right.
 
It really depends on how mature they look and act for their age.

My moral cut-off is at 15.

I'm pretty sure her parents could get a restraining order against him. Once they have sex, it's stat rape. It's gross too btw.
 
whoa my bro is 18 and dating a 15 year old and i told him that was gross...

now 22 and 14 is just plain WRONG.
