Lock ups in Windows2k (eek!!)

ok, i finally took the plunge. and made the switch from win98se to win2k. After the Needed upgrade of ram (from 128mb pc100 to 256mb pc133 CAS2 crucial) everthing is running smooth, well almost.
My problem is that i get random lock-ups, I think that it might have someting to do with 3D appications.
This is why:
my pc locks when i run the defalt 3D sceensavers, or any other 3D screensavers. the wierd thing is that all the srceensavers are OpenGL.
Tony Hawk II Locks up.
The time it takes to lockup my pc varies.
the screensaver may lockup after 20mins or is will run for 2hours before it locks up.
When i run Tony Hawk II it may run from 5min to an hour before it locks.
THe funny thing is that i can play Quake3 and team arena, and no lockups.

I dont know, if anyone has had this problem and knows a fix plz share.

What video card are you running? Did you check to make sure it's on the HCL? NT-based operating systems have absolutely NO tolerance for crappy hardware.
 
I see that you have a GForce GTS card. Make sure that you installed the DET3 drivers from Nvidia, Service Pack 1 and last but not least DirectX 8.
