k I've got one system, that seems to lock up, no bsod, no errors, just freeze like a deer in headlights, sometimes, just while typing, clocked it down to normal, tried safe mode, a few things, every thing except doing a HD format and reinstall.

I overclocked a celeron 300 once to a 433 or 466 something like that. I had the same issues. Try clearing the bios reseat the cpu and if that fails take EVERYTHING out and rebuild the system.

Hmm temp shouldn't be an issue, as its in basement, and basement is only a little warmer than outside. but, I'll check the seating of everything, and the ram too. The case is a bad hp, has no holes for screws to hold in the vid card and nic and stuff, major PIA. cards come out while machine is on all the time.

ArkAoss, is this a new problem or has this freezing problem always been the case? a few more details of the system including current drivers plus a full list of the irqs may reveal something glaring obvious!
