Only b/c I stepped in your sh!t on the way to the top of my box:p

the treatment of "superstars" by refs vis a vis regular players raises an interesting question... that is, how much better than the average player would "superstars" be if they were called the same way regular players?

gotta love how you didn't phrase it "...got whooped on by the lakers" because the lakers are nothing without bryant. One man show.

bryant and co = bryant and company = the entire laker squad. how come laker haters always sound so disgruntled and pissed off like they have a personal vendetta against kobe/shaq? before you criticize a player, do your homework. you guys really make yourself look like a dumbass

interesting. they will still be better but not up to the level that the refs make them out to be.

Valid? Oh please, Kobe Bryant being THE biggest complainer?
rolleye.gif
Hell if you just watched this last game, look at crybaby Allen Iverson and his loose ball foul. How about Mr. Rasheed Wallace or even Vlade Divac. lol. Heck I feel sorry for the Sacramento Kings, the whining exudes from their head coach. They're all great players who mostly just play the game (well all except Vlade and Webber), but their coach has taught them to b1tch and moan.

No one here is arguing that Kobe doesn't complain a lot. But all super stars have done so, and will continue to do so. Do you hate them as much as you do Kobe? Or is his success whats bothering you.

As good as Kobe Bryant is, I do have to admit he does whine a lot. And Tom Tolbert even confirmed that today. He said something along the lines of how Kobe was whining about some nonexistant call or something.

Kobe is still young, so I'm guessing that whining is just something that will eventually fade out as he gets more experience.

I don't have a team to root for. My hometown team is the lakers but I refuse to root for them because I think Shaq is a horrible player and it pisses me off when people say he is awesome when really he's just big. I never said kobe wasn't good.

On a side note who is that white guy sitting on the lakers bench who seems to NEVER play but yet is constantly yelling and screaming acting like he just made the game winning shot everytime the lakers do something good.

Well of course he isn't the worst complainer in the league. But because he is a superstar and really does get superstar treatment (you can argue this all you want, but he really does get calls in his favor), then he should realize this and not complain as much. I just hate it when people complain about a no foul call or a foul that is nonexistent.

And as for Duncan, he is great at keeping his mouth shut. Sometimes you would wish he would be more vocal to get his team pumped up, but at least he's not out there talking trash and whining.

good point, but here's my counter point. AI, rasheed, vlade, may complain as much as kobe does but KOBE is the the one getting the calls in his favors. rasheed getting calls in his favor?? are you kidding me?? complaining is fine if you never get the calls but to get the calls all the time AND complain??? see my point? if kobe gets the same treatment as every other, he could complain all he wants, i don't care. but if you get 99% of calls in your favor, and the 1% time that you dont and complain like you never get calls in favor, thats wrong.

I think that Kobe is hardly ever right in complaining about an invalid call. Most of the time that Kobe complains, is when he is taking a shot or driving and there is no foul called. He just complains about those type of situation WAY too much....and A LOT of the time they really aren't fouls. And as for AI and Rasheed, I haven't really seen them play enough as Kobe to compare, but I feel that the same situation applies for them. I don't know why someone would complain just to whine, but they all feel like since they are in the upper echelon of basketball players, that they deserve better calls.

maybe, but is he right 99% of the time? are vlade's rasheeds complains really totally nonexistant?? are kobe's complains all genuine?? i find that hard to believe. he gets calls cuz he's a superstar.

hell, i would complain and whine if i never get calls. duncan should get more calls cuz he NEVER complains, and when he does, he is always right.

And here's something else to think about. In the game earlier today, Kobe Bryant took more free throws shots than AI did....yet it seems like AI was much more physical in terms or driving and such. It just seemed like Kobe was settling for a lot of outside shots, but somehow he still ends up with more free throws. So maybe AI does have more of a right to complain, seeing as how he isn't getting the same all-star type treatment that kobe is

Kobe is a hell of a player and he needs to stop complaining.
Kobe can take almost anyone if not anyone to the hole or shoot over them when he wants, so he should actually concentrate on his skills
instead of half-assing it and expecting help from the refs. If he stopped worrying about the refs so much and played his game he would be even
better than he is now. It might be easy to go through the game expecting the calls, and since he is Kobe he will get some calls, but he might not get those calls every game and that is when he complains.

STFU--you dumbasses wouldn't complain one bit if Kobe was on your team. THREE-PEAT -- SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP and you fvckers JUST WEEP and WHINE all day long---
