Currently the first 4 threads in Video are about the R520 benchmarks, how about locking a few of them for the sake of consolidation.

Don't numerous threads "go away" in due course?

By far the most interesting thing going on in Video right now is the looming R520 launch. If there is reasonable conversation going on in each thread why lock any of them?

meh, i can't see a reasonable conversation going on in ANY of them, since they are fuelled by speculation and fanboyism...
that said, just don't click on them, let the fanboys amuse themselves 😉

QFT
the threads that are duplicates [or if the original turns out to be boring] ultimately self-delete for lack of interest
about time we had something really interesting happening in video . . . other than from nVidia 😉
:Q
If you look at something like Arstechnica they lock duplicate threads straight away and it makes a much cleaner forum with much less noise.
Exactly. Over here we get a "should I get a R520 or G70" or "should I get a crossfire/SLI" thread evey half an hour or so.A total of thirteen threads about video cards have been posted to in the last ~72 hours over at Ars's A/V forum. That doesn't cover the last five hours here.
To get a better signal to noise ratio. Why have three threads discussing the same subject when you can have one and save the other two slots for other discussions? If the threads are going with decent conversation why bother locking them?
