you're an idiot.

/thread

i paid a grand after insurance for my sleep apnea test, and will probably pay the same for the followup. my mask is uncomfortable, but since i breath through my mouth at times and have severe sleep apnea (my machine blows like a damn hair dryer) i don't have many choices. if you do, feel lucky instead of complaining. i don't stop breathing now during the night, i actually sleep, and my wife isn't constantly waking up afraid i'm not going to.

also, you can drop as many names as you want, it doesn't make you special. and if you think social healthcare is the answer to your issues...move to canada. have fun waiting half a year to even see a specialist.

can i ask what mask you're using? i woke up this morning looking like a slashing victim because i have to wear my mask so tight. been looking for something else, but internet reviews tend to be sketchy.

I use http://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-swift-fx-nasal-pillow-cpap-mask-headgear.html

I do have to tape my mouth though to prevent leakage through my lips, but other than that it is a very minimal mask, which helps reduce the chance leaks. So easy to put on too.

For the record I'm not THAT fat. I'm 6'1", and 250lbs. Yes I need to lose weight, and I've already lost 5 lbs over the past 2 weeks by cutting out red meat from my diet and eating more veggies than anything. I've also been working out occasionally.

Some of you guys are real assholes... seriously. No wonder there isn't many of us from '99 left.

On that note, other than this thread and once it dies off, I'm taking a vacation from this place. I'm 30 and feel like I'm getting responses from Jr High or High Schoolers, which is probably true.

you're still an idiot. you obviously don't know the meaning of the word horror. and you complain about things people would be happy about to describe your horror.

We're not being assholes, we're asking what the rationality of blaming healthcare is in your process. You came away with a cheap diagnosis and treatment. What else do you want?

lol you paid 2k for 440k of medical bills and then 500 dollars for 2 overnight tests and your are complaining?

CRY MORE

OP shut the fuck up god damn you are whining about this really? WTF?

and no horror story found. seems you got good medical advice cheaply. the 2nd test you had a hissy fit and stormed out. pfft

instead of getting it locked you should have it moved to p&n. they would probably rally around your obamacare plea there and make you king of the crazies.

Yeah, I just don't get what he's getting so upset over. The first test confirmed his sleep apnea, the second test would have been done mainly to confirm if a CPAP machine would treat the sleep apnea. Once that was confirmed, then you could have spent time looking at your options when it came to machines. I wouldn't want to spend large amounts of money sight unseen on a treatment if there was a way to test its efficacy out first.

Oh come on now, don't lock it because your feelings got hurt. Maybe you should actually take some advice instead of deflecting and ignoring it.

those machines aren't cheap either, and you have to get parts replaced, some as soon as every 3 months. i'm not sure why they didn't do the machine test during the first study tho. mine they did it all in one night (and it sucked, i'm not sure how they expect you to sleep with all that stuff hooked up to you).

The guys and gals on ATOT lost their manners years ago... most of us (mature) adults look for this. Since I can't find it anymore, there's no reason for me to be here. I listen to all advice, but if the 5 year old next door tells me to stick my tongue to a frozen pole in the dead of January here in Chicago, should I listen?

I'm already on a diet since I've learned of the issue.

Most of you are assholes who treat posters here with no respect.

So, I'm out. And that's my final post, at least for quite a long time.

exactly! then to walk out and have a hissy fit is insane. talk to someone about the mask and they will do something about it. what does having a hissy fit accomplish? he still has sleep apnea and untreated. pfft yeah talk about a winning situation! lol

Maybe GT is having a bad day :/ I know I get super cranky when I haven't had anything to eat in a while...

Just warped four posts. Whoa.

Sleep apnea can lead to congestive heart failure, stroke, IMPOTENCE, daytime fatigue, grabbyness (see this post)... and lots of other crazy stuff.

I think you need to worry much more about the first two than the 3rd.
