What is the most popular enterprise open source solution for *nix? For Intel boxes it's generally SQL Server or Oracle, what do *nix users run?

Well, I'd hardly call Oracle or SQL Server open source. But, MySQL seems to be pretty popular if you're talking Linux.

MySQL is the most common because it's the easiest to install and also offers commercial support.

PostgreSQL is without a doubt superior to MySQL in terms of flexibility and SQL features, but I think MySQL is faster.

Both are free and open-source.
