I run AMD Cool 'n Quiet to save energy. Some of my programs, however, run better with the Cool 'n Quiet disabled in the BIOS. If I'm in Windows, is there a way I can keep the CPU speed fixed at a certain frequency(preferably a high one)?
For my cool n' quiet it only works when the power settings (under power icon in control panel) are set to "minimum power settings". When I set this to "home/ office desk" the speed goes to maximum. Set it back to "minimum power settings" when done.
