i haven't seen a VHS tape on a shelf in ages. this place was selling new, sealed tapes for $1 each. i probably should have bought the stack and placed em on ebay. or hold them in case they are worth something later. what says you, should i go back and get them?

Yes please spend all of your money on the VHS tapes so we don't have to see retarded threads like this again.

They are probably resealed rather than original shrinkwrap. If they are somehow still actual original shrinkwrap, buy em up!

They put these out during the holidays so you can gift them to people you hate. Tape is probably rotted and defective too.

These are prerecorded tapes? The same thing happened with cassettes back in the day. They came back in convenience stores with a price attractive enough to make you go hmm... I suspect they're mostly bootlegs, so I suggest going to PirateBay, and not supporting commercial infringement.

new sealed tapes usually mean blank tapes...

oh i failed to mention that these are blank, shrink wrapped, sony VHS tapes. no movies.

Why would you want those? I could justify a movie. Maybe some day they'll be retro enough to be cool. I doubt it, but... If I had to record video, I'd put it on the computer.

Beta > VHS~!

I still have a working Super VHS Hi-Fi and Super Beta Hi-Fi player. Back in the day they were a great way to record excellent audio.

I recorder all of Woodstock Video and audio 94 on my Beta and VHS machines, some 15 tapes. Ive converted some of the audio to MP3s (Allman borthers, Traffic etc) and I'm in the process of converting the video as well. The video is eh ok but the audio sounds great.
